Ka-Tjing! respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

• When you buy: your name, email address, billing details, and order history.
• When you sign up for our newsletter: your email address.
• When you visit our website: basic website data, such as cookies, device information, and the pages you visit. Shopify collects this.

We only ask for what we need to deliver your order. We will never ask for your ID number, home address, or school.

Why we collect it

• to process your order
• to send you your digital products
• to help you if you need support
• to send newsletters, but only if you signed up

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the services we use to run our store:

• Shopify, which runs and hosts our store
• Payfast, which processes payments. We never see or store your card details.
• Mailchimp, which sends our newsletters
• other apps we use to run the store

Some of these services store information on servers outside South Africa. We only use services that protect personal information properly.

What we never do

• We never sell your personal information.
• We never show your name or details in public, for example in reviews or testimonials, without your permission.

Newsletters

We only send newsletters if you agreed to get them. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Under 18s

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree before you buy from us or give us your information.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe and only keep it for as long as we need it.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• show you the information we have about you
• correct it
• delete it
